和解|reconcile

reconcile 有「使和解；使安心；調和」等意思，有個片語用法是 reconcile oneself to something，意思是對某件事妥協，例如 She must reconcile herself to the fact that she has to study if she wants to pass her exams.（她必須妥協，面對如果想通過考試，就一定得念書的這個事實。）
