遭受|suffer

suffer 常與負面事物搭配使用，「遭受折磨」、「經歷壞事」、「被虐待」、「忍受痛苦」等都能用 suffer 表達；痛苦包括生理或心理，造成痛苦的事物也不限於實質或抽象。它的名詞變化 sufferance 意思是「很不情願地答應」，常見用法是：
