保證|pledge

pledge 比 promise 更正式，常搭配政見、政策、條約、協議等。pledge 有動詞和名詞兩種用法，名詞用法是 pledge of，比如：

• This ring is a pledge of my love for you.
  這只戒指是我愛的證明。

動詞是 pledge to，「協議停戰」就可以用「pledge to end the war」來表達。

例句：

• Unions condemn employer militancy and pledge to improve workers' rights.
  工會譴責雇主的敵意，並承諾改善工人的權利。
