（複數）郊外；郊區|outskirts

一般使用 outskirts 時，會在前面加上 the。比起 suburbs，outskirts 較給人「邊緣」的感覺，比如早期的城市發展區域、建築和公共建設已經變得老舊。如果想說「位於城市郊區的住宅」，用 suburbs 會比較好。
