隱喻；象徵|metaphor

不知道大家上學時在國文課上有沒有學過修辭呢？metaphor 就是一種修辭學，表示「暗喻」，與它相反的「明喻」英文則是 similes。

例句：

• "The mind is an ocean" and "the city is a jungle" are both metaphors.
  「思緒是海」和「都市即為叢林」都屬於暗喻。
