跨年|ring in the New Year

新的一年即將來臨，全世界各地都在舉辦迎接新年的慶祝活動，例如日本著名的跨年夜節目《NHK 紅白歌合戰》（Kōhaku Uta Gassen），一般人簡稱為《紅白》（Kōhaku）。

英文用 ring in the New Year 一詞表示「跨年」，源自以前人們敲鐘（ring bells）迎接新年的傳統。「跨年」的英文又可用 celebrate the New Year，至於「跨年倒數計時」的英文則是 New Year's Eve countdown。
