董事長|chairman of the board

董事長（chairman of the board）通常由董事會成員選出，為董事會的最高負責人，並且為擁有公司所有權的代表（representative）。然而，董事長不一定握有公司的領導實權，依據各家公司的實際情況而定。有些董事長會將實權交由總裁（president）或執行長（CEO）負責執掌公司的方向與決策（strategy）。「董事長」的英文又可寫作 board chairman。
