跳票|renege

「跳票」原指支票（check）不能兌現而遭退票，英文說法是 sb. + bounce a check，或 the check bounced。「跳票」也可比喻「無法兌現承諾」，英文可用 renege (on sth.)「食言，背信」來表示，常用片語如 break a/one’s promise 和 go back on one’s word。
