溫度計|thermometer

用來測量溫度的溫度計，其英文說法為thermometer。這個單字是由字首thermo及字尾meter所組成，其中字首thermo，具有「熱、電熱」的含意，字首meter則有「表、計、儀器」等意思，所以合起來就是代表測量溫度的儀器。另外，與溫度計相關的字彙還有耳溫槍ear thermometer。
