應景指的就是在特殊節日或場合做該做的事情，如在萬聖節扮成恐怖角色就是應景，因此英文表達就是 (do sth.) for the occasion，occasion 指特殊節日或場合，可換成該節日或場合名稱，如 Halloween、Christmas、Chinese New Year。
