失業|be unemployed

表達一個人失業，你可以說 be unemployed或be out of work，或是使用動詞片語lose one’s job。名詞可用unemployment。employ當動詞，為「雇用」之意，同義字hire。employer指的是「雇主」，employee則指「職員、雇員」。
