疏散（人潮、交通）|clear (crowds, traffic)

跨年活動、過年過節或是舉行大型賽事時，公家單位會「疏散」人潮或交通，英文可以用動詞clear一字表達。但如果是指緊急狀況（emergency）時的「疏散」，就要使用動詞evacuate，名詞是evacuation。

例句：

1. Police were brought in to clear traffic after the big game.
   警察在大球賽結束之後出來疏導交通。
2. Extra MRT trains were added to help clear the crowds after the New Year’s Eve countdown.
   跨年倒數活動結束後，捷運加開好幾班車，疏散大批群眾。
