肇事|cause an accident

肇事（cause an accident）的人可稱為perpetrator（肇事者），perpetrator這個字除了指肇事者，也可以當「嫌犯」，即各種犯罪或觸法的人。

例句：

1. After causing the accident, the driver fled the scene of the crime.
   駕駛在肇事之後逃離案發現場。
2. The police found that the perpetrator of the accident had been drinking.
   警察發現那場意外的肇事者酒駕。
