左撇子|left-hander

left-hander 是左撇子，是從形容詞 left-handed 而來，形容詞用法較常見。

口語上也可以用 southpaw 來稱呼左撇子，當名詞，原本指「左投手」（left-handed pitcher）或是「左撇子拳擊手」（left-handed boxer）。

lefty 在口語上也有人拿來稱左撇子，也常被用來形容某人或某團體的政治立場：「左派的、左翼的」。
