收款、匯款的英文怎麼說？千萬別寫成「The payment has reached us」

一個句子少於 10 個字，讀懂率是 98%；一個句子少於 20 個字，讀懂率是 75%；一個句子多於 20 個字，讀懂率是 4%，讀者必須一讀再讀。寫一封簡潔的 email，原則就是 「一個句子一個概念」。

匯款收款，英文怎麼說?

email 和客戶往來，最重要的就是用字不拖泥帶水，和錢相關的事情更是如此，收款、匯款英文怎麼說？

1. remit 匯款、匯寄

Attached is our bill. Please remit the money.（附件是帳單，請匯款。）

2. transfer 轉帳，匯款的方式之ㄧ

Please transfer the money in 3 days.（請在三天內轉帳。）

3. arrange 安排，告知對方款項會被安排

The payment will be arranged as soon as possible.（此款項將會盡快被處理。）

4. wire 電子系統轉帳 wire transfer，也可以說 wire 特指透過網路銀行轉帳

The money is scheduled to be wired on July 16th.（錢預計在 7／16 匯過去。）

收款應該用 receive、reach 還是 arrive?

我們已經收到款項了。
（x）The payment／money has reached us.
（o）The payment／money has been received. = We received the payment／money.
（o）The payment／money has arrived.

reach 跟 arrive 都是到達，但 reach 還帶有一些「努力」成分，arrive 強調已經抵達的狀態。arrive 可以指具體也指抽象，不限制人或物品，而 receive 就是直觀的收到、接收。

email 重點，看 please 接的動詞

「請注意」

常常出現在 email 一開頭，請對方注意接下來的訊息，英文怎麼說？
（x）Please be noted...
（o）Please note...

note 這個字是 「注意」、「留意」，用主動即可。
Please note that this bill must be paid within 10 days.（請注意本帳單必須在十天內付款。）

「請見附件」

附件如果用 Attached please find、Enclosed please find 就過時了，大家現在認為附件不需要 find，這麼寫看起來像律師函。還有人會用 Please see attached 也不自然。現在常見是用 I'm attaching、I've attached，或直接用 Attached is...。

附上收據：
Attached is the receipt.
I've attached the receipt.

Please be reported 不是「請知悉」，而是「你被告發」

很多人認為 report 是報告，我向你報告，你被報告，但 please be reported 這樣的用法不對，這句話是個祈使句，主詞其實是 you，也就是 You are reported，變成「你被告發某件事」而不是「我要向你報告 」。可以改成 Please be informed.

確認有分 confirm 和 make sure

確認會議時間；出差確認行程，confirm 和 make sure 都是「確認」，該用哪個字？

• confirm： 確認 「一件事的正確性」
• make sure： 確認的是 「一個動作會發生」

我們會檢查流程，確保事情順利進行。
（x）We'll check the agenda to confirm that everything runs smoothly.
（o）We'll check the agenda to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

確認的是「everything runs smoothly」這個動作會發生，所以用 make sure。

主管想確認 Janice 下周是否不在辦公室。
（x）The director wants to make sure if Janice will be out of the office next week.
（o）The director wants to confirm if Janice will be out of the office next week.

主管要確認「Janice 不在辦公室」這個消息是真的，而不是確保她不會在辦公室，所以用 confirm。
