Inquire (v.) 詢問

Inquire 是比較通用的動詞，是「詢問」的意思，它可以和 about 這個字搭配。若要「詢價」時，會用 inquire about the cost/price of sth. 來表達。

I’d like to inquire about the cost of your screws.
我想詢問貴公司螺絲的價錢。

Quote (v.) 報價

Quote 做動詞時意思是「引用」，不過在商用英文中，則意指「報價」。 Quote 的名詞形態為 quotation，意指「報價單」。

The designer quoted 200 USD for designing the website.
設計師針對設計網頁估了 200 美元的預算。

Minimum order quantity (n.) 最少下單數量

Quantity 為名詞意思是「數量」，所以 minimum order quantity 就是「最少下單數量」，在商務上上會簡稱 MOQ，許多公司行號在販售、出貨時會規定最少下單數量，以符合生產成本。

If you can’t achieve the minimum order quantity, we’ll charge you an extra fee.
如果你沒有達到最少下單數量，我們就會收取額外的費用。

Volume discount (n.) 數量折扣；批量作價

Volume 為名詞有「體積；總額」之意，而 volume discount 是指「為大批採購的消費者提供的折扣」，也就是網路購物上常出現的「多件優惠」，較正式的用詞為「數量折扣；批量作價」。

The retailer provides a 10% volume discount for orders of over 3,000 items.
只要訂單滿 3000 件，那間零售商就會提供 10% 的多件優惠折扣。

Place an order (phr.) 下訂單

Order 為名詞，意思是「訂單」，但「下訂單」的「下」該用哪個動詞呢？答案就是 place。此外，雖然 order 本身也可以當動詞，但它通常是用於「點餐」。

After placing an order online, you can track your package with your smartphone in real time.
在網路下訂單後，你就可以用手機即時追蹤包裹。

Lead time (n.) 交貨期

Lead 當名詞時有「引導，前導」的意思，因此 lead time 就是指「客戶訂單確認後到產品生產完」的這段時間，可以翻成「交貨期」。

The factory upgraded its assembly lines to shorten the lead time.
這間工廠升級了它的生產線以縮短交貨期。

Estimated time of arrival (n.) 預計到達時間

Estimated time of arrival 簡稱 ETA，意思是貨物的「預計到達時間」。另外補充一個 estimated time of delivery，簡稱 ETD，意思則是「貨物預計出貨時間」。

The estimated time of arrival of the components is postponed due to the global pandemic.
因為全球性傳染病，零件的預計到達時間延後了。
